Special Ed Resource provides live one-on-one online tutoring for learners from preschool through adulthood. The aim is academic learning with attention to participation, confidence and independence.
Begin with the academic task
A broad label does not tell an educator everything they need to know. Reading a passage, showing a math solution and organizing a written response can involve different starting skills and different kinds of support.
Tell us what the learner is trying to do, what they can already do and where help becomes necessary. That practical picture is useful whether you are seeking proactive support or addressing an established difficulty.
Learning needs are not interchangeable
A learner with ADHD may understand the material but need support starting or sequencing the task. An autistic learner may have particular communication or participation preferences. An adult may want academic support tied to a personally meaningful goal.
These are possibilities to explore, not assumptions about every person with a diagnosis. Our process uses the individual learner’s experience to guide the conversation.
- Reading and math instruction can focus on a specific academic skill.
- Organization and task management can be considered alongside academic work.
- School goals and helpful accommodations can inform the discussion without making private tutoring a replacement for school services.
Clear boundaries help you choose
This is academic tutoring, not medical treatment, speech therapy, occupational therapy, ABA or a diagnostic service. We do not claim a New Mexico office or an in-person home tutoring service.

Instruction is live and online, so a learner in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Los Alamos or a smaller community works with the same educator pool.
